ATPL Flight Planning (Aeroplane)


The ATPL Flight Planning (Aeroplane) ground course is designed to cover the syllabus requirements of AC61-7 Appendix III (subject 40), which is significantly changed.  The representative aircraft has also been changed to the Boeing 777-300ER

The revised course will comprising three main areas:

  •       Planning Concepts;
  •       Computerised Flight Planning;  and,
  •       In-flight replanning.

You will be provided with a course textbook (Waypoints PilotBooks Volume 13), a workbook, a flight planning data booklet, and with teaching sessions on each of the course components, including plenty of practice exercises and review questions.  The programme also includes a practice examination based on the ASPEQ exams, which is designed to give you a gauge of your knowledge as at the end of the course and to act as a learning focus tool.

Please note that it is your responsibility to organise your own sitting of the ASPEQ exam.  We recommend you schedule the exam for at least a few days after the end of the course, to give you time to absorb and review the material and to do some practice of the practical aspects of the course.

Cost:   $1,234.37 in 2024.   Includes tuition, textbook (Waypoints PilotBooks Volume 13) and workbook notes.  The ASPEQ exam fee is additional.
