ATPL Flight Planning (Aeroplane)

The ATPL Flight Planning (Aeroplane) ground course is designed to cover the syllabus requirements of AC61-7 Appendix III (subject 40), which is significantly changed.  The representative aircraft has also been changed to the Boeing 777-300ER

The revised course will comprising three main areas:

  •       Planning Concepts;
  •       Computerised Flight Planning;  and,
  •       In-flight replanning.

You will be provided with a course textbook (Waypoints PilotBooks Volume 13), a workbook, a flight planning data booklet, and with teaching sessions on each of the course components, including plenty of practice exercises and review questions.  The programme also includes a practice examination based on the ASPEQ exams, which is designed to give you a gauge of your knowledge as at the end of the course and to act as a learning focus tool.

Please note that it is your responsibility to organise your own sitting of the ASPEQ exam.  We recommend you schedule the exam for at least a few days after the end of the course, to give you time to absorb and review the material and to do some practice of the practical aspects of the course.
