The purpose of this text is to explore the construction of gas turbine engines, the processes involved, and to help to prepare you to safely and efficiently operate aircraft powered by turbine engines. The text also provides you with an idea of how well you have mastered the material by providing a number of short answer review questions at the end of each chapter, and providing a section of model answers. Finally, and quite reasonably, this text is designed to help you to prepare for the ASPEQ Basic Turbine Knowledge examination. That said, the best preparation you can get is to attend an approved ground course.
